Introduction
Since Stewarton Bible School (SBS) was founded many years ago I have considered incoming
questions on spiritual issues as being either 'critical' or 'non-critical.' A
critical issue is one which relates to a divine commandment or some
underlying sacred principle; ignorance of which could lead to sin.
As with other SBS pages (Divine Law, the Everlasting Gospel, the Sacred
Calendar etc.) the Vital Topics page is about critical, moral
issues which you must learn about if you want to avoid clashing with the
will of the Almighty God. Bear in mind that ignorance of a 'critical issue' could
easily lead to you sinning without even knowing it. That could be
catastrophic for you on the soon-coming Day of Judgement.
Yahweh the Almighty God of Israel says this about critical
information:
Hosea 4:
| 6: My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge ...
|
In view of this fact it is vitally important that you learn what the Bible has
to say on critical matters: for ignorance of the truth in this enlightened age
can hardly be cited as an excuse. Popular opinions about moral behaviour
cannot be trusted. The morals of the human race are as fickle and
changeable as the fashion in women's clothes. But Yahweh doesn't
change. His moral standards are the same today as they were six thousand
years ago. In the Bible He says this:
Malachi 3:
| 6: I am the LORD, I change not ...
|
In view of the coming Judgement, no
one can afford to rely on trendy, popular opinion; especially where moral
behaviour is concerned. We are all scheduled to give account for ourselves on
Judgement Day and we need to watch how we behave.
2 Corinthians 5:
| 10: For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every
one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath
done, whether it be good or bad.
|
I trust that the information linked to the Vital Topics
Page will help you prepare yourself for that event.
